Biography

Dr. Fredrika J. Spencer, Assistant Professor of Marketing, received her Ph.D. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Duke University in December 2010. She currently teaches undergraduate Principles of Marketing, Marketing Communications and Marketing Strategy courses. She has previously taught at both the graduate and undergraduate level in such courses as Marketing and Marketing Strategy, Integrated Marketing Communications and Consumer Behavior at Duke, Wake Forest, North Carolina State and Meredith College. Fredrika actively engages in research related to the innovation behavior of firms, particularly in how that behavior is received by financial markets. For this work, she has received grants from MSI and currently has published articles at journals including Marketing Science. Prior to her academic career, Fredrika worked for Deloitte as a consultant across a variety of industries, including projects for companies such as Kmart, Revlon, Verizon and AmerisourceBergen.
