Biography

Dr. Hadsell has taken a circuitous route to his present position. His first professional employment, as a twenty year old, was as a computer programmer. Soon afterward he began teaching evening computer programming classes at a community college and that experience provided the impetus to finish a Master’s degree and then a Doctorate and transition to teaching full-time. Since then he has taught a wide variety of economics and finance courses for several colleges and universities. His research, primarily on electricity markets and economics education, has appeared in numerous academic journals. He has served in several editorial capacities, including as a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Education for Business from 2007 to 2014; reviewed submissions for more than a dozen academic journals; presented papers and served as a discussant at many conferences; and served on numerous school and university committees. In his spare time, Dr. Hadsell enjoys gardening, travel, and fine beer. Dr. Hadsell is married and has two adult children.
