Biography
Dr. Soques is an alumnus of UNCW and joined the Department of Economics and Finance as a faculty member in 2016. He did his graduate work at UNC-CH, where he was an instructor and teaching assistant. Dr. Soques’ research primarily focuses on the timing and determinants of recessions. In regards to teaching, Dr. Soques is interested in experiential learning techniques and how they change students’ learning outcomes. Outside the office, he enjoys watching NBA basketball and going to the beach with his family.
