Prof. Evers practices law in Texas and the District of Columbia and is an Associate Professor of Business Law at the University of North Carolina Wilmington teaching business law, entertainment law, and international business. She earned an LL.M. in environmental law from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, J.D. from Southern Methodist University, M.B.A. from Emory University, and B.S. from Kansas State University. In addition to working in private business and academia, she served as a Navy Lieutenant, worked as a Fulbright Senior Specialist on intellectual property rights in Malta, and received a certificate in Public International Law from The Hague Academy of International Law. Ms. Evers has won several awards and research grants and has published a number of articles, including Contests, Contracts, & Copyright: Sometimes a Great CONtest, in the University of Denver Sports & Entertainment Law Journal (May 2010) and The Constitutional Law of of Fracking in the International Journal of Business and Public Administration (Fall 2015).
