About Career Day

Now in its 20th year, UNCW's Technology & Analytics Career Day is an event designed to:

Help students determine if a technical degree (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Arts, Information Systems, Information Technology, Intelligent Systems Engineering) or one in analytics (Business Analytics, Data Science) or Supply Chain is a great option for them
Assist juniors and seniors with obtaining internships
Assist seniors and recent graduates with obtaining full-time or part-time employment in the fields of technology and analytics

Susan Lawhead

Pre-Sales Solutions Architech

Susan Lawhead is a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect serving the State of North Carolina at SAS, where she bridges the gap between analytics technology and public sector impact. With dual master’s degrees in Business Analytics and Public Administration, Susan brings a unique blend of technical expertise and community-focused insight to her work.

In today’s keynote, Susan will share candid reflections on her own college experience, as well as the experiences she's seen first hand through advising and mentorship...things students wish they knew, impactful pursuits in school, and how students can make intentional choices now to thrive in tomorrow’s job market.

Employer Participation Information

Graduate and undergraduate students in our technology and analytics programs (Business Analytics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Arts, Information Systems, Information Technology, Intelligent Systems Engineering, Supply Chain) are seeking full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities from you.
Each participant is provided with a 6' interview table during the event.
Employers have 90 minutes to meet and learn more about our students. Prior participants have told us that this very focused 90-minute period is more effective for meeting students than an entire day at career fairs!

Student Information

Come prepared to meet with employers who are excited to add a Seahawk to their team! Full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities are available.
The Technology & Analytics Career Day is open to all students and alumni seeking full-time or part-time employment and/or internship opportunities and to students seeking more information on our majors.
Students will have the opportunity to attend a short keynote presentation and 25-minute breakout sessions on what technology and analytics professionals do on a typical day.
