Tom is an experienced investment professional with a background in credit restructuring, turnaround consulting, and bespoke investments. He graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2013 with a dual major in Finance and Economics.
He began his career at Barclays Capital in New York City, where he worked from 2013 to 2016 in the Credit Restructuring Group, advising on complex distressed situations. Following his time at Barclays, he joined Ankura Consulting from 2016 to 2018, focusing on turnaround and restructuring advisory services for companies navigating operational and financial challenges.
Currently, Tom is based in Charlotte and serves on the Capital Solutions investment team at Barings. In this role, he originates and underwrites high-yielding, bespoke investments across a wide range of industries and capital structures.
