Corbett Biamont is an IT Risk and Compliance Consultant at Forvis Mazars, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Corbett specializes in IT audits and IT SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance, with a majority of his work focused on mid-sized banks, helping them strengthen technology controls and ensure regulatory adherence.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) in 2023 and completed his Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) in 2024. After graduation, Corbett spent a year in Birmingham, Alabama before returning to North Carolina.

I graduated from Cameron School of Business with my bachelor’s in 2013 and my MSA in 2015, and started out in Raleigh at a mid-size public accounting firm in IT Audit. Over the years I worked across a wide range of engagements—financial statement audits, SOX 404, SOC 1 and SOC 2, and internal audit and consulting—but I eventually found my niche in SOC reporting. That specialization opened the door to my current role at Fidelity Investments, where I lead a team responsible for the technology scoping and testing across more than 70 audit engagements each year. I also help define our firm-wide strategy for IT controls, and one of my favorite parts of the job is partnering with new and emerging businesses within Fidelity to help them get audit-ready for SOC 1 and SOC 2 as they move toward launch. I’m passionate about bridging the gap between auditing, technology, and cybersecurity, and I’m excited to share what that journey has looked like for me.
