Seth Thompson is a career investigator with two decades of experience in public-sector investigative work. He currently serves as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst on the UNCW IT Security team, where he examines threat actor behavior and conducts technical investigations to inform and strengthen the university’s cyber defenses.
Before joining UNCW, Seth worked as a law enforcement agent for the State of Oklahoma, specializing in complex conspiracy investigations targeting drug trafficking and human trafficking organizations. He also spent several years training new agents in analytic and investigative tradecraft, with a focus on building strong evidence-based cases and developing investigative judgment.
