Joe Dokus is the Director of Growth & Trade Development at NC State Port Authority (NCSPA). In this role, Joe is responsible for overall growth and solutions enablement for the NCSPA container business. Prior to joining NCSPA, in September 2024, Joe worked for AP Moller Maersk for a decade based in the USA and at their Danish HQ. During his tenure, at Maersk, Joe held a variety of commercial roles most recently serving as a Solutions Manager for their integrated logistics offering. Joe’s time at Maersk further included being Head of Market for Transpacific Westbound along with a variety of other ocean pricing and trade management roles. Joe also spent several years working in chassis management and drayage for TRAC Intermodal and IMS. Prior to formally starting his logistics career he severed as an ESL Instructor in South Korea. Joe is a graduate of Flagler College. He currently resides in Wilmington NC.

Jackie Spivey is a Wilmington, North Carolina native and a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business, where she earned a degree in Operations Management. She has built a strong foundation in business administration and customer service, with over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry and more than two years in the medical services industry. Jackie currently serves as the Customer Service Manager and Commercial Planning at NC State Port Authority, where she brings results-driven, customer-focused approach to operations and service excellence to both Wilmington and Morehead City port locations.
