John Gavin is a commercial real estate broker with Cameron Management, where he specializes in leasing, development, and investment advisory across retail, office, medical, industrial, and land assets. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has played an integral role in executing transactions, supporting development initiatives, and advising clients across a diverse portfolio. Cameron Management has been responsible for more than 1.2 million square feet of commercial development and currently oversees more than 1 million square feet under management, providing John with hands-on experience across a broad range of asset types and project stages.
He plays a key role in the execution of leasing and sales assignments, increasingly leading transaction-related workstreams and supporting deal sourcing efforts with growing independence. John is valued for his analytical mindset, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, and is known for driving projects forward efficiently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and responsiveness. His performance has earned industry recognition, including the RCASENC Real Estate Rockstar Award (2023) and the Rising Star Award from NC REALTORS (2025). In addition, his team has been honored multiple times with project awards from CoStar Group recognizing impactful commercial real estate developments.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Development and Entrepreneurship from University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business, as well as an Associate in Arts degree from Cape Fear Community College.
He is actively involved in the local business and real estate community and serves on the UNCW Alumni Board as the Cameron School of Business representative. John is also a member of Leadership Wilmington (Class of 2026), serves on the Young Professionals Board of The First Tee of Greater Wilmington, sits on the Board of Directors for Cape Fear Realtors, and currently serves as President of the Realtors Commercial Alliance of Southeastern North Carolina (2026).
John enjoys spending time with his wife Shannon and their two Labrador retrievers, and they enjoy traveling, family time, and embracing the coastal lifestyle.
