I grew up in Austin, Texas and went to college in Louisiana at LSU where I majored in finance with a minor in Spanish. During my time in college I was the treasurer of my sorority and studied abroad in Spain for a summer. During college I started the CFA program and then secured a job in Dallas, Texas at a registered investment advisor upon graduation. In my first role I assisted the head portfolio manager and wrote the firm's weekly market commentary while I completed the CFA program. After four years of investment management experience, I moved back to Austin, Texas to work for a startup called MicroVentures. As a due diligence analyst I worked with early-stage founders to vet new investment opportunities. After growing and building out that team I moved to the late-stage side where I managed the secondaries team investing in late-stage venture backed private companies. After eight years of working in the venture capital space, I'm currently working as a consultant advising startups.
