I am a Software Engineer with a Masters in Computer Science and 32 years of experience with International Business Machines (IBM) in a wide variety of positions. I spent the first half of my career in a development lab, and the second half in customer-facing software technical sales. I started my career as a developer, writing code for IBM hardware that was specifically for small/medium business. I then moved to a software support position, maintaining the systems used by developers working on IBM code. My next job was into management, first managing support programmers and later development programmers. My next job was managing a team of consultants who would travel to and work at IBM customer sites worldwide.
