In late 1992 I joined the beloved Marine Corps to serve my country. My job involved the safeguarding and distribution of Top-Secret NATO classified material to Top-ranking Marine Corps Officers. The Marine Corps proved to be the perfect training ground for me to develop my leadership skills and discover my entrepreneurial spirit. After serving, I received an Honorable Discharge and was recruited by a Mortgage Company in Raleigh, NC and my professional career began in 1997. My mortgage career continued to grow, and in 2006 I started my own mortgage brokerage business. After many years in the mortgage business, I decided to return to academia and complete my education. To my surprise, as an older student, I was able to earn an Associates, Bachelor’s, and MBA in 45 months.
