Sales and Marketing professional with comprehensive expertise in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. Most recently, I was the Director of Sales and Training at the Incyte Corporation, a biotechnology company that specializes in developing innovative pharmaceuticals. This was a start-up opportunity and I was instrumental in hiring and training the entire commercial organization. In addition, held a leadership role in sales and marketing. I held this position for several years, then took early retirement. Prior to this position, I was at Pfizer Inc. for 20+ years; working in a number of roles with increasing responsibility that included sales, sales management, medical science liaison, marketing, medical affairs, and head of sales training. Skills include: Resume and interviewing skills development, (Over my career, I have interviewed and hired hundreds of professionals in various roles), the successful launch of new products, development of sales/marketing strategies, and hiring/developing sales reps and sales leaders. I have been a mentor for about 10 years and have helped a few dozen UNCW students and graduates. I currently am an active volunteer in the Wilmington community. Personal interests include: avid reader, basketball, golf, beach and travel.
