Jim’s career in HR leadership spans four decades. Prior to his retirement in June, 2019 and relocation to the Wilmington area, he was employed as VP, Corporate HR by Hexcel Corporation, a Stamford CT based $2.5B manufacturer of advanced composite materials for applications in Commercial Aerospace, Space and Defense, Industrial and Wind Energy markets. In his 17 year career with Hexcel, his was responsible for leading the global design, implementation and management of HR teams and functions encompassing Compensation, Health/Welfare/Retirement Plans, HR Information Systems, HR policy and International Assignment/Mobility Programs for 7,500 employees in the US, EU and Asia Pacific. Jim had ongoing responsibilities to create and present materials at the Board Committee level and Chaired Hexcel’s Retirement Committee. Prior to Hexcel, Jim had a number of both staff and line HR roles in a variety of firms including Reuters PLC, The CIT Group and Castrol North America. In addition to his career in HR, Jim has also taught HR practice and theory as Adjunct Instructor, Human Resource Management at Bergen Community College.
