Jenni Harris
With a career that spans public service, higher education, and economic and business development, I’ve had the privilege of leading complex initiatives that drive measurable impact across sectors. I specialize in turning strategy into action—whether it’s managing a $57M grants portfolio, aligning cross-functional teams, or advising on policies that shape economic priorities. I’m passionate about building systems that not only work on paper but deliver real results for people, businesses, and communities. Over the years, I’ve led transformational employer engagement strategies, launched multi-agency training programs, and contributed to both state and national dialogues on workforce and economic development. My academic path includes a doctorate in Public Policy and Administration, alongside a number of certifications that reflect my ongoing commitment to learning and leading effectively. I’ve worked at the intersection of government, education, and industry—creating innovation centers, supporting business expansions and advising on global trade strategies, and helping universities and agencies connect with the broader communities they serve. I enjoy presenting on strategy, data, and leadership—and yes, I still believe even the most complex topics deserve a touch of humanity (and more often, humor). Outside of my professional roles, I remain deeply engaged in community work. I’ve served on advisory councils, economic development boards, and leadership initiatives that bring together public and private sector leaders to solve local challenges. Whether it’s mentoring future leaders, launching STEM-focused programs in public schools, or helping shape regional equity and engagement strategies, I believe in the power of service beyond the job title. Community isn’t just something I work for—it’s something I work with, every step of the way.
