I currently serve as the Wilmington Market President for Live Oak Bank. In this role, I am responsible for leading a team focused on serving the business banking needs of companies located in the greater Wilmington Market. This includes managing a budget, P&L, and growing our balance sheet that directly contributes to the bottom line of Live Oak Bank. This role allows me to be an ambassador to the Wilmington Community where I currently serve on multiple boards and committees, including The Children's Museum, Wilmington Chamber, and United Way. It also allows me to be an avid supporter of several local non-profits, such as NourishNC, Boys & Girls Club, Salvation Army, Boy Scouts of America, and Alex Highsmith Foundation. Prior to Live Oak, I served in various leadership roles, with increasing responsibility, over a 25+ year career for both banks and consulting firms focused on the banking industry. One of the highlights of my career has been the opportunity to mentor college students and young professionals. Having directly mentored several individuals as well as being responsible for multiple summer internship programs. Having benefited from mentors throughout my career, it is rewarding to have the opportunity to share my experiences and lessons learned throughout my career with those coming up behind me. When not helping business owners achieve their financial goals or volunteering my time in the community, you will often find me somewhere on the intracoastal waterway or spending quality time with family and friends.
