John Farrell is the CEO and founder of S3C Solutions LLC, a veteran owned small business based in Northern Virginia with a local office in Leland, North Carolina. Prior to his retirement, John was the Director of National Security Programs at Fortify Software and MFGS Inc. (previously Hewlett-Packard Company). Since joining HP in 2011, John led the sales and product strategy effort supporting the US Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. During his tenure, John worked on various issues including software assurance, static and dynamic code analysis, open-source software security and critical infrastructure cybersecurity. S3C Solutions focuses on digital transformation, policy development, business process changes, personnel education and technology automation as part of the secure software development and supply chain. John represents industry matters on a number of technology groups and advisory committees. Previously, John worked at Gartner Inc., in Arlington, VA, IBM Internet Security Systems, GTSI, Mobil Corporation and the U.S. Navy. John has a B.S. in Applied Science from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD and is currently pursuing his MBA at UNCW. He is married, has two grown children and resides in Leland, NC.
