Jim Bruno
My interest in Rail Roads led me to a profession in Supply Chain Operations. I had positions over my career including working with Motor, Ocean and Rail Transport. Products ranging from raw materials to consumer goods. Building trust in professional relationships is key to good outcomes for clients. It is essential to understand a customer’s needs, sometimes that meant helping them discover what exactly their requirements were. This exchange of information would allow me to offer recommendations and an eventual solution. Of course this would include rate negations as well. Over the years I have enjoyed working with teens through our church serving as a Parish Youth Group Coordinator for 10 years. Holding leadership roles in several ministries led me to mentor many peers and young adults, encouraging them to make and keep commitments on many levels. Personal, professional and spiritually. Witnessing people grow into the best version of themselves is beneficial to them and myself. After graduating from Sacred Heart University with a B.S. in Business Administration, I worked in the corporate environment. After several years I had the opportunity to start my own business. With a partner I became an entrepreneur in the construction industry. While not the predominance of my working years, it was an abundance of experiences. This period taught me how to manage the partnership, sales, purchasing, customer relations and productivity. Time management was crucial aspect. In my recent retirement from the corporate world, I have enjoyed putting my construction knowledge to use on our new home here in Wilmington and volunteering within my neighborhood. As well as pursuing a Logistics Consulting opportunity.
