With 45+ years of experience in business and volunteer leadership roles, Gary has revitalized struggling companies, grown stagnant businesses, and established new enterprises. Prior to entering the business world, he earned a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA. He then served 2+years in the US Army, including one year as a SSG with the 101st Airborne Division in Viet Nam. During his professional career, he served as President and General Manager of several different manufacturing companies in the USA and Europe. Since his retirement, he has worked with a variety of non-profit and business organizations in the areas of Leadership Development, Organizational Culture, and Strategic Planning while mentoring their executives to be strong leaders, capable of building their own High-Performance Organizations. He also has 15 years' experience mentoring Business students at UNCW and Brevard College. His first published book "To Be the Best By Any Measure" was the recipient of 3 Eric Hoffer International Book Awards in 2024. In this book, which highlights his career and introduces the Magee Three- Legged Stool, his goal is to share with a broader audience his experience, lessons learned and applied, and his proven time-tested unique approach to bringing life to struggling businesses and transforming them into High-Performance Organizations.
