Cynthia joined the Internal Audit team at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in November of 2013. Prior to joining UNCW, Cynthia started her career in public accounting at McGladrey in Wilmington, NC. During her tenure at McGladrey, Cynthia had the opportunity to work in several different areas, including manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, benefit plans, and governmental audits. Her work at McGladrey also included a four month engagement in London, England with McGladrey’s alliance firm, RSM Tenon. Cynthia is also a part time professor in the Cameron School of Business and UNCW alumni, having earned her Bachelors in Finance and Masters in Accounting. Cynthia is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
