He began his career as a Senior Product Manager at Cisco Systems, Inc., and went on to serve as the Chief Product Officer at Livly, LINQ, and Vantaca. In 2008, he founded JumpForward, a startup that quickly gained traction and was successfully acquired by Vista Equity Partners in 2016. McCombs holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems (MIS) from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and an MBA from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
